People were created to worship. We do it every day. To worship something (or someone) is to give that thing or person respect, affection, and total attention. The Bible says that God is to hold the highest place in the affections of the believer.
At Springhill, one of the ways we give our affections to God is through music. We believe that God created music and that He enjoys hearing us sing and make music for His glory! Therefore, those in our Music Ministry spend time each week preparing music that will encourage and remind people of how good our God is. Participation in the worship ministry of Springhill is open to individuals who have trusted Jesus Christ as as their only hope for salvation, and have covenanted with Springhill Church in this faith journey. Music Ministry Opportunities:
Choir - Choir is open to anyone, high school and older, who has trusted Christ as his or her Savior and has committed themselves to the fellowship at Springhill. The choir rehearses Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. Members regularly sing in the Sunday morning worship services. Also, our choir encourages the people of Springhill through special musical worship events on occasion. Interested singers please contact Sean to schedule an interview.
Praise Band - Our Praise Band is for anyone in high school and beyond, who has trusted Christ as his or her Savior and has committed him/herself to the fellowship at Springhill. The Praise Band rehearses Sunday mornings from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. Members help lead musical worship on Sunday mornings. They also accompany the choir on anthems and play for special events, like Easter and Christmas. Interested musicians please contact Sean to schedule an interview.
Adult Ensemble - Our Adult Ensemble is a select group of men and women from the Adult Choir. Faithful choir attendance is a requirement. From this ensemble, the Praise Team is selected. Rehearsals for the ensemble are Wednesdays, from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m.
Audio Team- Our audio team runs the sound board during worship services. A willingness to serve is necessary, and an ear for music is helpful. Hands-on training is provided as long as needed. Contact Sean for more information.
Visual Team-Our visual ministry serves the people at Springhill by operating the screens during worship services. Basic computer knowledge is required. Training provided. Contact Sean for more information.
